RE-IMAGINING - Part 1

I still have so many images from the shoot to work on but could not wait any longer to share. This idea was originally envisioned about 5yrs ago for my doll design business. With the shift to people 4yrs ago it was put on the back burner, BUT I still wanted the chance to visit this idea so adapted it to real life models and started shopping for dresses to re-imagine.

Had so much fun re-imagine these dresses, dying them and adding embellishments, and even restructuring parts of the original dress designs, cutting and tucking and sew. Then I got to work on hair and makeup with some fabulously talented ladies April and Amberly...We did not get to spend nearly enough instudio time with the models as I would have liked because by the time we got through with the location stuff it was getting late in the day.

It was true love...Moe Moe could not get enough of the gorgeous Kelby and followed her around...well like a little puppy lol.

April Photo Challenge: Water

This image is from my concept shoot "Princess and the Frog"
I just adore the softness of the images as she looks upon her favorite ball...Just minutes before it floats away, just to be returned to her by the Frog...One of my favorite stories demonstrating why it is so important to keep our word no matter what and the display of inner beauty.

March Photo Challenge: Something Green

This image is from a concept shoot I did earlier this month...We patiently waited for a perfect foggy morning to get just the right look, and both got up on a Saturday morning at 6am...It took a little while for my flock of sheep to accept the model and not want to keep coming to me each time I spoke...After all I am their shepherd and my voice to them means food lol.

I think our patience and getting up so early in the morning was totally worth the effort...I am so happy with how the final image turned out.

Sweet Baby Makenzie - 13 days old.

The ideal time to have newborn images taken is before baby is 2weeks old (before 10days is even better)...This way baby is still super sleepy and posable without to much fuss...If you want to book a newborn session in advance, just your due date is enough to get you a spot on the calendar.

Ballerina on the River part 2 - Princess and the Frog

There was a beautiful Princess whom was one day was playing with her favorite toy...A beautiful silver ball.

As she played at the water's edge with her ball it floated away from her...

Try as she might she could not reach her toy, the water was just too deep.

Alas what would she do?

A frog came by and told her not to cry, he would swim out and get her ball.

The princess asked the frog, "How can I ever repay you?"

The frog replies "With a kiss"

The Princess kept her word and kissed the frog, with the evil witches spell broken by the kiss, the frog turned back into a handsome prince...

Making this a happily, EVER AFTER TIME story.

Ballerina on the River part 1

This weekend I got to stretch my creative wings and play by the river with a gorgeous ballerina as my model and together we create some images that I am in truly love with....

This shoot included a "Princess and the Frog" but I will post those separately.

In total we did 5 different looks, so be on the look out for the rest to be posted at a later date.

For now Part 1, A modern look under the river house.

Hope you enjoyed these images as much as I enjoyed creating them.
